Originally from Jackson, Michigan (birth place of the GOP), Everett has been active in politics since grade school. He grew up reading the reading the works of William F. Buckley, Milton Friedman and classics such as Cicero. His great appreciation of classic culture, Republican government ideology and free markets have formed Everett into a “Free Market Capitalist.”
In grade school, Everett successfully helped George Bush Sr. beat Michael Dukakis in his school’s election by telling fellow students Dukakis was going make them go to school all year round. Several of Everett’s families friends held offices in the state and US Congress which lead Everett to follow his interest politics. Since grade school, Everett has volunteered on many local, state and national campaigns.
His time in the Marine Corps has given him a humbling perspective on the true cost of freedom. Recently Everett has been involved with the tea party movement and is the chairman of South Florida Tea Party as well as the Florida State Coordinator for Tea Party Patriots.
Everett’s activist efforts have been covered by media such as the Palm Beach Post, the Sun Sentinal, the Miami Herald, Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg Times, LA Times, New York Times, Politico, Local Channel 5, Local Channel 12, Local Channel 25, Newsmax, CNN, BBC, Foxnews, ABC, 60 Minutes, Foxnews Neil Cavuto, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and Hardball with Chris Mathews.
Mr. Wilkinson calls Palm Beach Gardens, Florida his home after moving there from Michigan nearly ten years ago. However, he is frequently visiting DC and Tallahassee as needed. His favorite past times are travel and reading about history. Everett’s favorite charities are Toys for Tots and the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
